I’ve noticed that the AI debate is stuck in extremes:

“AI will take all jobs because it’s omnipotent!”

versus

“AI is total cr*p because it hallucinates and isn’t safe!”

This black-and-white thinking holds us all back.

I want to share key insights I’ve gained from working with AI daily:

1. The Iteration Mindset Always Wins:

Similar to my experience in the hardware industry, success comes through rapid prototyping and iteration, not through seeking perfection. AI is now your ultimate prototyping tool.

2. Your Approach Matters More Than Tools:

The “Curious Explorer” who experiments and learns by doing will always outpace the “Skeptical Perfectionist” who waits for perfect results.

3. New Approaches for Experienced Professionals:

Treat AI like a talented young developer/researcher who needs your guidance. Use your expertise to provide context, constraints, and quality control.

4. Think “AI And…” Not “AI Or…”:

The winning strategy combines AI’s speed with your human judgment. Use AI for prototyping, brainstorming, and step-by-step coding – then add your expertise for improvements.

5. This Is the GOLDEN Age for Beginners:

AI is leveling the playing field. Your advantages are openness, curiosity, and speed – not years of experience with outdated methods.
